Update planners with Agenda and HW

  1. **Warm Up**
    1. Get out your warm up paper from yesterday.
    2. Write today's date, 12/13/11, then follow the directions to answer the questions.
    3. Remember, this is on your own to see what you know!
  2. OMAM Ch 4 Graphic Organizer
    • Create a piece of the pie foldable and follow the directions to label and complete each part.
    • Remember to use quotation marks and include the page number for all quotes and sentences you copy from the story!
    • Write "OMAM Ch 4" in the middle diamond shape, then give Chapter 4 your own title.
      1. Indirect Characterization:
        • p. 77-78- find two quotes from the story that show indirect characterization of Curley's wife.
        • Write a sentence for each to explain what the reader learns about her.
      2. Direct Characterization:
        • p. 66-67- find two quotes that show direct characterization of Crooks.
        • Write a sentence for each quote to explain what the reader learns about him.
      3. Figurative Language, Simile:
        • Write the definition of "simile".
        • p. 72.- find a quote that shows a simile.
        • Explain in your own words what the simile means.
